FABRE Jan
Jan Fabre, artist designer, sculptor, choreographer and theatre director was born on 14 December 1958 in Antwerp. The artist seeks to link his universe with the major themes present in the collections: death and resurrection, vanities, sacrifice, money, madness, carnival, battle, the workshop. One of Jan Fabre's most famous works is the ceiling covering of the Hall of Mirrors in the Royal Palace in Brussels, inaugurated in October 2002 by the sovereigns, which he covered with 1.4 million beetle shells.
